What happens when Mom gets cancer?

    Dianne Shumay, PhD. When a mom gets cancer, it can often feel to her like she's letting her kids down, she's letting her partner down. And there's a lot of feeling of kind of guilt and worry about undone things. And some of the things that might worry a woman with breast cancer in the middle of the night might be things like, how am I gonna get the kids to school? Or, how am I going to take care of the family members who need my care? And when we're thinking about social support, I think a lot of us who wanna support a mom or a woman with breast cancer might think about how can we take some of that burden and share that with her?
