  • Elizabeth Castillo. When a person from an underserved population gets a cancer diagnosis, typically it's late stage cancer because the underserved population, they don't tend to go to the doctor. They wait till the very last minute. They're worried, they're worried about losing their job, how they're going to pay their rent if they're gonna be able to put food on the table. And if they are the, the family breadwinner, there's a lot of pressure to just keep working. Just keep going. To ignore the diagnosis or sometimes not complete treatment.
